Phi Tempest means order within complexity.  Recognizing structure, pattern, and order in complex/chaotic environments is how we make sense of the world and take part in it.  Essentially separating true signal from noise.

I am fascinated by the structural trends shaping our world today, and the uncertainty inherent in making predictions regarding these trends.

This site is an attempt to provide insight and nuance around such trends and related miscellany for other truth seekers.  Much of my investment interest revolves around increasing constraints on natural resource supplies relative to continuing global economic growth.

Most importantly though, this site is about things that I have found of interest and wanted to take note of and share.  My attempt to identify signal by adding to the noise.
